SPECIAL HAZARD SYSTEMS

Clean Agent Systems
Clean agent systems are designed for speed in suppressing fires while causing little or no damage to high value assets and equipment. Clean agent systems include:

FM-200/HFC-227ea
Both FM-200 and HFC-227ea systems leave no residue and do not require costly clean-up, unlike sprinklers and other fire protection systems.  The agent discharges in 10 seconds or less, extinguishing a fire quickly and effectively. These systems are excellent for use in computer rooms, manufacturing facilities, data centers, laboratories and clean rooms.

HFC-125/FE-25
HFC-125/FE-25 clean agent fire protection systems require 20% less clean agent per cubic foot/meter than HFC-227ea systems. You can also use small diameter piping over long distances, so the agent pipe network is much easier to design and install. For these reasons, using ECARO-25 can result in significant cost savings over other clean agents.

NOVEC 1230/FK-5-1-12
NOVEC 1230/FK-5-1-12 is a long-term halon alternative and sustainable technology that has the greatest margin of safety, the lowest global warming potential for halocarbon alternatives, and zero ozone depletion potential.

INERT GAS
INERT GAS protects enclosed areas where there is a need for quick reaction to a fire, where people may be present, and where damage from conventional agents cannot be tolerated. This environment-friendly, people-safe agent displays zero ozone depletion potential, zero global warming potential, and zero atmospheric lifetime.

Carbon Dioxide Systems
Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is the original clean agent. To provide the most economical system without the sacrifice of performance, we offer both High and Low Pressure systems for total flooding and local application systems.  CO2 is recommended for unoccupied spaces.

Air Sampling Detection Systems
Air sampling detection systems are highly sensitive smoke detectors designed for high value operations that require rapid response.  Air sampling detection is 1000 times more sensitive than traditional spot type fire detection.

Gas Detection
Almost anywhere that people gather, indoors or out, there is a potential risk combustible or toxic gases.  Certified Fire offers gas detection products for range of toxic gases that can threaten the safety of a building and its occupants.

Preaction Detection & Control Systems
In some instances, a Preaction System might be your best solution. These dry pipe sprinkler systems have additional fire-detection devices that recognize a fire before a sprinkler head is activated. The sprinkler pipe contains air, so when the detection device senses a fire, it opens the main valve and allows water to flow through the pipes before the sprinklers are set off. Only heat can activate the sprinkler head which will then flow water into the protected space.

Water Mist Systems
Water mist systems use a limited amount of water and are a safe, green solution for fire protection.  These systems suppress fire by cooling, wetting and moving oxygen away from flames and are most effective when used in machinery spaces and combustion turbines.

Dry Chemical Systems
Dry chemical extinguishing systems are best suited for high-risk or difficult-to-protect areas involving flammable liquids/gases, wood and paper, or electrical equipment.  For these applications Certified Fire offers total flooding and local application dry chemical systems.

Linear Heat Detection Systems
Linear heat detection systems are a cost effective way to detect fires in your facility and can provide general space protection as well as detection at the point of risk.  Linear detection is suitable for a wide range of applications including air craft hangars, bridges, refrigerated storage facilities, and tank storage facilities.

Foam Systems
Foam systems are appropriate to use in facilities that transport, process, or handle flammable liquids.  Foam systems suppress fire by separating the flammable fuel from oxygen.  The foam flows over the burning liquid to form a blanket that seals off combustible vapors, keeping them from access to oxygen.

Spark Detection & Suppression
The operation of many production machines can easily produce a spark.  We provide spark detection systems which detect the smallest spark's infra-red radiation, signaling a control system to immediately extinguish the spark before a disaster occurs. Spark Detection is super high speed and therefore very effective in protecting process equipment.

Flame Detection Systems
Flame detectors are optical fire detection devices that detect infra-red (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) radiation given off by fire or sparks and therefore not as prone to false alarms.  Certified Fire offers three types of flame detectors - infra-red, ultraviolet, and ultraviolet-infra-red (UVIR) which are suitable for protecting large open areas such as air hangers.
