Home Depot Data Center
Atlanta, Georgia
Home Depot’s new corporate data center is critical to the success of
their home centers across the country. It’s the way they stay connected with each other and with the
company’s headquarters in Atlanta.
The entire operation must be protected from fire at all times.
CFPI installed a pre-action detection and control system as well as
a Cirrus Air sampling device for this mission critical facility.

Center for Disease Control
- Marcus Emergency Operations Center
Atlanta, Georgia
CFPI was chosen to provide expertise on this fast
track project which involved national security.
The $7.1 million new emergency operations provides for quicker
response to public health emergencies. The project team originally planned
to have a conventional sprinkler system, but due to the sensitivity
of the facility and requirements to remain operational 24/7, the decision
was made to install an HFC-227ea clean agent system.
Certified Fire Protection worked closely with the design team and
the CDC to have the system designed, installed, and
fully operational with 60 days.

QWEST
Atlanta, Georgia
Installing a sophisticated, 4,000 pound FM-200
fire protection system in an 40 year old building on one of downtown
Atlanta’s busiest streets can be quite a challenge.
Add an accelerated schedule and limited access to the space, and
some firms would walk, maybe even run, away.
CFPI coordinated
efforts with the building owners, the general contractor, and city
officials to get Qwest in their new high-tech space on time and within
the cost projections. |

Earthlink
Data Center
Atlanta, Georgia
Certified Fire Protection provided the
FE-227 Clean Agent System for the expansion of Earthlink's Data Center.
Working closely and efficiently with the client, we were able to ensure
that
the project was completed without interruption of
Earthlink operations. |

Amsouth Operations Center
Birmingham, Alabama
Amsouth’s data center
contains water detection, FM-200 clean agent, and pre-action detection
systems. The Amsouth IT Department
needed a way to view all fire protection systems on one graphic
enunciator. CFPI met the challenge by tailoring a solution to fit this
almost insurmountable problem. Three different
manufactured systems with three different protocols were integrated by
installing a CADgraphics monitoring system.
All systems can now be viewed on three touch screen monitors
through Amsouth’s Local Area Network. |

CNN International - Data Center
Expansion
Atlanta, Georgia
When CNN International expanded their data
center, they needed an expanded fire protection system, and they could
not afford a minute of down time. The
CNN data center was to be fully operational and fully protected from fire
during the course of the facility expansion.
CFPI found a way to keep their existing Halon 1301 system
on-line while installing the new FM-200 system. The transition was seamless! |

Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Facility
Vance, AL
CFPI
was tasked with protecting critical zones at this Mercedes-Benz plant,
requiring three different systems. CFPI
offered single source convenience, installing a high pressure CO2 system
in the PCS Computer Room; a low pressure CO2 system in the paint mix and
storage area; and a FM-200 total flood system in the main computer room.

Monsanto
Dairy
Augusta, Georgia
Monsanto Dairy is a cutting-edge biotech
manufacturing facility. The
company’s primary product is a synthetic drug used to keep cows
healthier longer. The
manufacturing processes must meet stringent FDA regulations.
To maintain a real-time status of the fire systems on the campus,
the UL-listed Faraday CADgraphics was chosen.
The facility's four buildings are all monitored as though they were
all on the same fire alarm panel even though there are actually 4 panels
spread around the campus. Quick
response is essential to minimizing production downtime and regulatory
compliance. |

Delta Airlines-TOC II
Atlanta, GeorgiaDelta
Airlines TOC II was one of our highest profile jobs – literally.
CFPI crews installed a linear detection system in the building’s
roof joists, some 120 feet in the air.
The system, used to activate an AFFF foam suppression system in the
hangar bays, involved the installation of more than 30,000 linear
feet of detection.
